PLAINVILLE, CT—CBIA (the Connecticut Business & Industry Association) today officially announced contestants in the 2025 Coolest Things Made in Connecticut Competition, including a super-slick ceramic car coating made right here in Plainville by Element 119 LLC.
System X Max G+ is an advanced ceramic nanocoating that offers unmatched protection for automobiles, boats, and aircraft. It turns your vehicle into a glossy, slick, armor-plated machine…all while providing next-level protection from UV rays, chemicals, and daily grime. It bonds at a molecular level and lasts for years, so you’re not just making your car look amazing—you’re also future-proofing it. Owners and collectors of the finest vintage and exotic automobiles worldwide trust System X Max G+. It works on everything from paint to wraps, and it’s 100% made in Connecticut.
“We’re very proud of our coating,” says Andrew Zeppa, President and CEO of Element 119. “When you see System X Max G+ in use, you’ll understand why it’s one of the coolest things made in Connecticut. It makes your car look like it’s been dipped in glass. Durable protection plus a gorgeous shine equals homegrown innovation that competes on a global level.”
The Coolest Things Made in Connecticut Competition pits 16 Connecticut-made products head-to-head in a single-elimination bracket format. Each week, starting August 21 and ending September 18, members of the public can vote once per day for their favorites. The winners go on to face a new opponent the next week until a single product is left standing. That product earns the title of Coolest Thing Made in Connecticut in 2025. Winners will be announced at the Made in Connecticut: 2025 Manufacturing Summit on October 2, 2025.
